On the basis of the tradition of professional theatre for children and youth, “Stalo Teatras” creates new and original theatre shows for children and youth. The Theatre seeks to rise public awareness about trends and ways of contemporary theatre for children and youth and aspire to convey creatively cultural values of literature and performing arts. “Stalo Teatras” participates in the formation of cultural image of national theatre for children and youth and presents abroad cultural achievements in the field of theatre for children and youth.
It’s aim is to promote and implement new methods and ways of art education, to promote search for new ways of expression in the field of theatre for children and youth; “Stalo Teatras” organizes theatre workshops and educational programs for children and youth in the regions of the country and tries to educate and develop public need within the society for professional theatre for children and youth.
“Stalo Teatras” uses only live music in its shows – a subtle way of giving sound to the action. Sometimes music even becomes a separate character and that strengthens connection with the audience and expands means of artistic expression. “Stalo Teatras” shows are distinguished by their originality, by diversity of solutions, and each time by their live-interactive performance.

2011 September 24th Table theatre performed the dream - show "My city" in the international street festival "Mozaika".
2011 July 1-4th – The troupe performed in the International Puppet Festival, which is a gathering for one person, two person, and chamber puppet theatres. At “Puppet in my Pocket” in Sárospatak, Hungary they presented "Eglė - Queen of grass-snakes”. While they were visiting Budapest, Table Theatre joined the Lithuanian community in Hungary. They all sang the Lithuanian anthem in Batthyány, one of the central squares. By now it is tradition for Lithuanians all around the world to sing the anthem on the 6th of July, in national celebration. Later, the troupe led a small ‘festival’ with national folk songs and dances.
2011 June 28 – 30th –Table Theatre performed “Mouse In Guitar” at the International Puppet and Drama Theatre Festival – Laboratory "Zuikis Puikis" organized by the Utena Culture Centre.
2011 June 18th –The troupe of Table Theatre presented “My City” It was presented during the culture night “Tebinie Naktis”. It was not just a performance, but a musical performance-dream about our city, Vilnius! The group that helped to bring the performance to life includes: directors and actors Jokubas Vilius Turas, Saule Degutyte; composers and performers Snieguole Dikciute, Valdas Narkevicius; voice – Rasa Kulyte; lightning designer Tadas Juozapaitis
2011 May – At the international puppet theatre festival, “Flying Festival” in Kaunas “The Stork Gift” was performed. Here, director and actor, Jokubas Vilius Turas, debuted at the Table Theatre.
2011 May – They performed at the international puppet theatre festival “Karakumu asilelis” in Klaipeda. Table theatre performed the ethnological-musical act for the family, “Stork Gift” and vision-performance “The Lamb's Journey”, for which the troupe received a diploma from the children committee.
2011 spring –Table Theatre visited the Lithuanian community in Luxemburg and performed “The Lamb’s Journey.” The troupe also led an educational workshop at the International European School.
2011 –Table Theatre performed in the 7th Moscow Festival of Chamber Puppet Theatres for Children, “Moscow Holidays,” where the troupe presented vision-show “The Lamb’s Journey.”
2011 March 27th, - The World Theatre Day, Golden Stage Awards for the works of 2010 were announced. The awards are dedicated to the best theatre artists of the country. In the puppet theatre category the group of creators of the ethnological-musical act for the family, “Stork Gift” was the winner of Golden Stage Cross’11 (director and artist Algis Mikutis, artist and actress Saule Degutyte, composer and the author of the idea Snieguole Dikciute). We are also thankful to the guitarist and musician Valdas Narkevicius and to the actor Darius Rakauskas.
2011 January – In the festival “Different Theatre for Children,” organized by Arts Printing House (Menų spaustuvė in Lithuanian), Table Theatre performed three of its shows: “Stork gift”, “Mouse in Guitar,” and “The Lamb's Journey” – here, actress Jurgita Orlovaite performed with the Table Theatre for the first time.
2010 – Table Theatre contributes to European Fight against Poverty and Social Discrimanation’10. The troupe made projects for kids that are socially supported. Table theatre visited Lithuanian villages and in regional orphanages, which are specialized for children with disabilities – the places where children do not have many opportunities to visit theatres or concerts, and where professional artists perform very rarely.
2010 spring –Table Theatre conducted an educational theatrical workshop in the International European School of Brussels (Belgium). Also, the troupe showed vision-performance “The Lamb's Journey” to the Lithuanians that live in Brussels.
2010 January – The leader of Table Theatre, Saule Degutyte, visited Hanover (Germany). She visited the Werkstatt Theatre, where she led educational theatrical for students 2010 January 9th – Premiere of vision-performance “The Lamb's Journey” took place.
2009 December – In the Lithuanian Oslo community “Sun Circle” in Norway, the program “Stories and Games” was presented.
2009 October – In the international puppet theater festival “Aitvaras,” Table Theatre presented a sketch of the show “The Lamb's Journey.”
2009-10 –Table Theatre collaborated with children’s oncohaematology department of Santariskes Clinics in Vilnius, where the troupe visited sick kids. Also, Table Theatre is the permanent partner of various movements in the orphanages, and participates in the people with disabilities art-social projects. Table Theatre is planning to further their work with these meaningful activities.

2009 September – In the International Puppet Theatres Festival “LAGAMINAS‘9” in Panevezys show-improvisation “Birthday” was performed, in which the actress Edita Zizaite debuted in Table Theatre for the first time.
2009 June – Table Theatre with the program “Stories and Games” visited Switzerland’s Zurich and Geneva Lithuanian communities.
2009 June Table Theatre visited Geneva and Zurich, where the mini show – tales of tracking “Stories and Games” was performed for the kids in Lithuanian kindergartens.
2009 May – Table Theatre took part in the 3rd International ASSITEJ festival “COOL!” in Vilnius.
2009 May – Table Theatre performed “Mouse In Guitar” in the 5th international puppet theatre festival “Karakumu asilelis” in Klaipeda. 2009 April – Famous Russian puppeteer, Tomsk Human Puppet Theatre “2 plus Koo" founder, and “Table Theatre” friend Vladimir Zakharov visited. Lithuanian audiences had an opportunity to see two of his performances: "About a hedgehog" and "The story of one puppet". The shows took place at Vilnius Theatre “Lele”, where, afterwards, the warm and open meeting with the artists was held.
2007 October – Table theatre participated in the international puppet theater festival “Aitvaras” in Alytus. There the troupe performed two works: show-improvisation “Birthday” and the premiere - musical show for the family “Mouse in Guitar” (by the motives of A. Holl “Mouse the Musician“). Director, artist and actress - Saulė Degutytė, composer - Snieguolė Dikčiūtė, guitar played by Valdas Narkevičius.
2007 September – The Table Theatre performances of an old Lithuanian myth "Eglė - Queen of Grass Snakes” participated in the International Puppet Theatres Festival “LAGAMINAS” and in Panevezys.
2007 summer – Table theatre visited the Human Puppets Theatre " 2 plus Koo" in Tomsk, in which the troupe performed "Eglė - Queen of Grass Snakes.” Then, together with Siberian artists, were building the performance “Mouse in Guitar.”
2007 spring – “Eglė - Queen of Grass Snakes” was performed in the 4th international puppet theatre festival “Karakumu asilelis” in Klaipeda.
2007 – The troupe went on its first tour abroad; they went to the 4th Moscow Festival of Chamber Puppet Theatres for Children “Moscow Holidays.” In Moscow and in the puppet fair “Theatre Carrousel” in Lobnya (Russia), the Table theatre with the performance “Eglė - Queen of Grass Snakes” was a representative of Lithuania. It was performed in Russian. 2007 March 14 – The troupe premiered the show-improvisation “Birthday” by the motives of P. Travers, and “Mary Poppins.” Director, artist, actress S.Degutytė, composer and performer S.Dikčiūtė, costume designer L.Skukauskaitė .
2006 -"Eglė - Queen of grass snakes” was performed in the international theatre festival “Children and Puppets are Smiling” in Kaunas.
2006 January – Table theatre begins to show their performances in the State Youth Theatre of Lithuania.
2005 October – Participated in 6th international puppet theater festival “Aitvaras” in Alytus. Table Theatre won two diplomas: the performance of "Eglė - Queen of Grass Snakes" (director - S. Degutytė, musician - S. Dikčiūtė) was recognized as the best performance, and its author Saulė Degutytė was recognized as the best director of the festival.
